Recipe: Nitro McCarthy Stout Jello Shots
Nitro McCarthy Stout’s chocolate and coffee notes work wonderfully in sweet desserts. We’re making these alcoholic jello shots with Nitro McCarthy Stout for St. Patrick’s Day.

Ingredients for the chocolate Nitro McCarthy Stout jello shot portion:
½ cup cold Nitro McCarthy Stout
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
1 cup Crème de Cacao
1 cup hot water
Ingredients for the Bailey’s jello shot portion:
½ cup Bailey’s Irish Cream
1 envelopes unflavored gelatin
½ cup hot water
Instructions for the chocolate Nitro McCarthy Stout jello shot portion:
- Add Nitro McCarthy Stout to a medium bowl, sprinkle on both envelopes of gelatin, and allow to sit for one minute.
- Stir in Crème de Cacao and hot water until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
- Evenly divide the chocolate McCarthy Stout jello shot mixture into individual shot glass cups and refrigerate immediately for 15-20 minutes.
Instructions for the Bailey’s jello shot portion:
- Once the Nitro McCarthy Stout portion has chilled, add the Bailey’s Irish Cream to a medium bowl, sprinkle on the packet of gelatin, and allow to sit for one minute.
- Pour hot water into the Bailey’s jello shot mixture and stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
- Gently pour the Bailey’s jello shot mixture over the chilled Nitro McCarthy Stout mixture.
- Refrigerate for 3 hours or until completely set.
- Enjoy with a chaser of Nitro McCarthy Stout.
